Spring Sets-Springs are the foundation to any suspension. At TRI-POINT Engineering we've chosen springs that improve the vehicle's looks and performance. These springs lower the vehicle's center of gravity, reducing body roll in the turns, dive under braking, squat during acceleration and give the car a more solid feel at all times. By installing these springs you'll also minimize the unsightly gap between tire and fender. Sold as matched sets of four, these will lower your car 3/4"-1 1/2", and they're powder coated for long life.
Anti Sway Bar Sets-The same proven combination used by performance drivers worldwide. These bars are a conventional design with forged ends and all mounting hardware included. These bars are cold formed from high strength aircraft steel and carefully designed to fit your Mazda without modification. For the 3rd generation RX-7 we recommend the front bar be mounted with our front sway bar brace kit (Part No. TPE-20030) shown below. Sway bars are sold as front and rear sets only to maintain the balance needed for performance street driving.
The Koni series of externally adjustable shock absorbers are ideal for the enthusiast desiring both improved road holding performance and the additional feature of ride height adjustment. Koni has a long standing reputation in racing circles as a manufacturer of top quality shocks and struts. 3rd generation RX-7 owners can see a drop in ride height as much as 3/4". These gas-filled shockes include a removable knob that allows for a quick simple means to dial-in your setting.
PLEASE NOTE: Installation of these struts/shocks disables the optional Electronic Suspension Control, if your vehicle is so equipped
Penske shocks are the ultimate shock for all types of racing. This type of shock is designed to allow the tuner to dial-in dampening forces which is the key to great car control. They can be ordered with or without threaded spring perches, remote reservoirs, adjustable compression dampening, and steel or aluminum bodies. The shocks are built to suit your needs and are completely serviceable by TRI-POINT Engineering.
TRI-POINT Engineering Racing Springs are made to work in conjunction with these shocks. There are hundreds of different lengths and rate combinations to fit your needs. They are available in linear rates and can be used with tender springs, which also gives you a progressive rate.
This modular design has proven itself in the national championship arena. This design provides the adjustablility needed to fine tune your suspension. The side arms have five holes each offering ten settings, and the tubular steel centers are available in four different inner diameters, yielding 40 possible setups. The side arms are machined from solid billet 6061 aluminum and the main tube is made from the finest spring steel. The rod ends used are Teflon lined for long life, the main mount bushings are solid urethane. Optional bronze oil light bushings and reinforcement supports are available for the dedicated racer (see below). For a rear anti-sway bar to match the front bar, call us for applications.
Designed by TRI-POINT Engineering, this kit strengthens the mounting point for the front anti sway bar with a reinforced part. The factory mount for the front bar is insufficient when tho loads increase under competition, actually causing the frame extensions to crack at the point of attachment. This kit is available in two forms. The more complete kit includes a pair of oil light bronze bushings, as used with our modular bar, and includes all the hardware for mounting. The other kit is meant for use with the stock bar or any one piece aftermarket bar. No welding required, all bolt-on.
PLEASE NOTE: One should check the factory stock front sway bar mount often, the stock bar can break the mount.
